The Vice President of Sales is responsible for driving a company's sales operations, developing and implementing effective sales strategies, and leading the sales team to achieve set targets. They constantly analyze sales data and performance to identify areas for improvement and plan for future growth.

They should also be results-driven, customer-focused, and have strong analytical skills. While not always required, certifications like Certified Sales Leadership Professional (CSLP) or Strategic Sales Management (SSM) can be beneficial.
