Job Summary

We are seeking a Bilingual Mandarin Sales Director for a direct hire opportunity in Pomona, CA with a growing food and beverage distributor. This leadership role is ideal for an entrepreneurial sales professional with deep FMCG experience, strong mainstream retail relationships, and the ability to own commercial strategy across the United States and Canada.

The Bilingual Mandarin Sales Director will oversee US operations, drive growth for a noodle and beverage portfolio, manage full P&L performance, and lead strategic account planning, negotiations, and Joint Business Plans. This is a high-impact opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a growth-oriented environment and wants to influence market expansion, profitability, and long-term business success.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute annual account strategies and Joint Business Plans aligned with regional growth objectives.
- Manage full P&L performance, including forecasting accuracy, trade investments, pricing discipline, and margin governance.
- Lead annual commercial negotiations, contract agreements, trading terms, and customer business reviews.
- Drive growth of noodle and beverage products across US and Canadian retail channels, with a focus on mainstream retail.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, and internal leadership to support brand alignment, product availability, and operational excellence.
- Identify new business opportunities, manage channel conflicts, and support sustainable market share and profit growth.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $110,000 to $125,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Own commercial sales strategy, account planning, and Joint Business Plan execution across key retail channels.
- Manage full P&L responsibilities, including sales forecasting, trade investment, margin governance, and profitability targets.
- Lead customer negotiations, contract discussions, and trading term agreements.
- Drive business development and new account growth for food and beverage products.

- 10 to 20 years of sales, account management, or business development experience within FMCG, food, beverage, grocery, or a closely related consumer goods category.
- Bilingual Mandarin skills are highly preferred.
- Proven experience managing P&L, trade investment, forecasting, and margin performance.
- Strong knowledge of US and/or Canadian retail channels, especially mainstream retail.
- Demonstrated success leading commercial negotiations and building strategic retail partnerships.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently, make sound business decisions, and thrive in a growth-focused environment.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with marketing, supply chain, finance, and executive leadership.
- Excellent communication, analytical, relationship-building, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience selling noodle, beverage, Asian food, grocery, or related consumer packaged goods products.
- Existing relationships with mainstream retail, grocery, distributor, or national account partners in the US or Canada.
- Prior experience leading US market expansion or managing sales operations for an international food and beverage brand.
- Strong understanding of multicultural consumer markets and retail growth strategies.
