Account Executive Jobs in Watertown, SD
An Account Executive in the sales industry is responsible for managing relationships with specific customers for their organization. Their primary duties include establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients, presenting product and service offerings, negotiating contracts, and closing deals. They serve as the key point of contact between the client and the rest of the sales team, ensuring effective communication and satisfaction of client needs. Account Executives also monitor sales metrics and work toward meeting or exceeding established sales quotas.
The role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Account Executives should have a solid understanding of sales principles and customer service practices, as well as competent knowledge of relevant software (like CRM). While a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is usually required, professional sales certifications, such as Certified Professional Sales Person (CPSP) or Certified Sales Leadership Professional (CSLP), could be advantageous. Before becoming an Account Executive, individuals often gain experience in roles such as Sales Representative, Account Manager, or Sales Associate.
