The Opportunity
Our client recently landed major new customers and is looking for Account Managers who can help grow and protect these accounts over time. This is not a passive role -- Account Managers at our client are expected to be embedded in their accounts, proactive in communication, and constantly looking for ways to deliver more value.
The company's culture of transparency and service-first thinking extends to how Account Managers operate. You will be supported by a carrier sales team focused on coverage and a leadership team committed to giving you the tools you need to succeed.
What You'll Do
Own the day-to-day relationship with assigned customer accounts, serving as their primary point of contact for all freight needs
Proactively communicate with customers on shipment status, market conditions, and any issues that arise -- no surprises
Identify opportunities to expand account volume and introduce customers to additional services our client can provide
Collaborate with the carrier sales and operations teams to ensure loads are covered and service commitments are met
Track account performance metrics and bring insights back to leadership to support strategic decisions
Onboard new accounts smoothly and set clear expectations from the start of the relationship
Why This Role Is Different
Account Managers at our client are not just relationship holders; they are growth drivers. The company's stated goal is to become the largest broker in Michigan, and Account Managers who help build that trajectory will have a seat at the table as the company scales. There is no commission cap, and the more you grow your accounts, the more you earn.
Our client's customers have described the team as feeling like family. If you want to do meaningful account work at a company that genuinely cares about its people and its customers, this is a strong fit.
