Summary
As a SPIN Event Sales Manager, you not only sell the experience, you seek to improve upon itconsistently. Whats that mean? You do more than just turn inquiries into booked events (although that will be critical to your success). You work your phone, email and social network aggressively to close inquiries. You help refine and define the SPiN experience by conducting site visits, entertaining potential clients, and coordinating with our Operations Team to ensure our events are executed with world-class precision. Essential Functions

- Respond to all inquiries, transforming those inquiries into booked events (this ones a given, but were mentioning it anywayits that important).
- Bring the experience to life. How? By speaking with ease and authority on the features and benefits of SPiNs unique venue features and event packages.
- Monthly Sales Team Goalsin short, you meet them. (Better yetyou exceed them wildly.) Take direction well and know what it means both to lead and to be a solid supporting cast member for our Director of Sales (to whom youll report along with the General Manager).
- Speaking of, our Director of Salesyoull be ready/willing/able to assist him/her when it comes to preparing for trade shows, sales missions, and promotional events.
- Youre hungry and hands-onand with the Director of Sales, you seek out and identify opportunities for proactive account management.
- You want to be more than a closerand welcome the chance to work with your clients to plan, coordinate, and ensure that your booked events are world-class experiences!
- You wont stop when the partys over; instead, you cultivate client relationships both while planning and well after (because retention business can be powerfully lucrative).
Qualifications
- Experienceat least 3 years in an Event Sales role
- A bachelors degree (preferably in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Hospitality) Excellent verbal and written communication skills (to sell the experience, you have to be able to communicate iteffectively)
- An ability to own and resolve problems (trouble-shooterswere looking for you) Its in the detailsfor you, its not just a phrase, its a way of being
- Hospitality experiencegreat if you have it (not a deal-breaker if you dont)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook and work processing applications.
- Experience in working with booking software platforms such as Seven Rooms and Tripleseat - a BONUS but not required
