Position Overview
We are an Exeter, CA based company seeking a motivated and experienced Asphalt Paving & Maintenance Estimator to join our growing team. This role combines field estimating, sales strategy, and customer relationship management. Youll work directly with contractors, property managers, city agencies, and HOAs to assess projects, prepare estimates, manage client relationships, and drive sales for asphalt maintenance and paving services. Work independently and alongside field crews.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct on-site evaluations of asphalt projects (measuring, inspecting, and assessing surface conditions).
Prepare accurate cost estimates for sealcoating, crack filling, slurry, and striping jobs.
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to grow the customer base.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
Present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals with professionalism.
Collaborate with operations and dispatch teams to ensure smooth project scheduling and customer satisfaction.
Track leads, bids, and opportunities using CRM tools or spreadsheets.
Attend trade shows, local events, and site visits to promote company services.
Deliver exceptional customer service before, during, and after every project.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in asphalt, paving, or construction estimating/sales (sealcoat experience preferred).
Strong understanding of asphalt maintenance processes (sealcoating, crack filling, slurry, chip seal, paving, etc.).
Proficient in reading blueprints, site plans, and using measuring tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Valid California drivers license and clean driving record.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
