Overall Purpose of the Role

The Automated Stores Sales Manager is responsible for driving all aspects of automated storage system sales within an assigned territory. The initial territory will cover the U.S. Central Market.

This role owns the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation and opportunity development through order placement and handoff to operational teams, while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve regional sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

* Own and execute new automated storage system sales, managing opportunities from prospecting through order placement and transition to operations.
* Prospect, qualify, and develop new sales opportunities through customer meetings, presentations, requirements discovery, and proposal development (with support from U.S. and UK-based teams).
* Develop and execute territory sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
* Lead negotiations and close complex, high-value deals.
* Maintain accurate and timely sales pipeline reporting and CRM data.
* Build and manage relationships with third-party partners to support regional sales objectives.
* Provide market and customer feedback to support product development and corporate strategy.
* Collaborate with marketing to generate cost-effective, territory-appropriate lead generation initiatives.

Collaboration & Communication

* Partner closely with Azenta sales teams across other product lines, including Consumables, Instruments, Cryogenic Storage, Services, and Informatics.
* Work cross-functionally with Technical Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, Service, and Installation teams.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels, from individual contributors to executive leadership.
* Develop and support joint sales initiatives with third-party organizations and strategic partners across the territory.
