Role: The Account Director drives commercial opportunities with new and existing customers.  This person will walk jobs sites in order to properly scope work, develop quality work orders, maintain positive customer relationships, and proactively solicit new business development opportunities within the defined geographic region.   Acting as a direct company representative in the market, this individual will always portray Cornerstone values and will operate with integrity in the marketplace. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Operate within an EOS environment and have the passion to collaborate with others as well as function as a self-starter 

  • Analyze required documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the equipment  

  • Must have a strong background in industrial rotating equipment and reliability practices  

  • Manage Full Customer Interaction: Relationship management, estimating, quoting, alignment on quote approval/changes, to field execution and final customer feedback. This involves existing customer needs and new customer acquisition.  

  • Clearly communicate scope and pricing to customers via proposal quotes, calls, emails, and account visits.  

  • Log all sales activity and outreach in CRM database.  

  • Lead the negotiation process with the customer to secure new project work, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.  

  • Update submitted proposals with scope changes, RFI’s, addendums, etc. to ensure final accurate quote.  

  • Managing bids from vendors and contractors; Developing new relationships with vendors as needed. Uploading vendor copies and POs for purchased into CMMS. 

  • Working internally with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to ensure vendor setup, PO allocation, and timely turnaround of vendor activities. 

  • Entering quality work order data into CMMS to include detailed information on manpower, materials (ordering status, material receivable updates), and any necessary third-party interactions or needs.  

  • Maintaining status update tracking for quote status by service offering; Updating management weekly on working log. Aligning work activities to reach and exceed account visits, quotes generated, and revenue targets and quarterly KPTs/Rocks.  

  • Proactive follow up on all deficiencies identified during the work scope driving additional potential work opportunities.  

  • Perform Follow-up conversations with customer base to ensure quality assurance after operations teams are complete with work.  

  • Support other department personnel as required, including assisting with estimates in other disciplines, support to field operations regarding estimates, and to scheduling department regarding estimates.  

  • Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor or leadership team.

  • Attain KPIs as directed by Cornerstone leadership  

  • Collaborate with internal departments and teams to ensure proper alignment and timely delivery of our services. One Team, One Cornerstone!  

  • Utilize CRM platform effectively to manage and track sales workflows, customer data, interactions, and follow-up action items, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. 

  • Actively participate in industry associations, conferences, and events to build relationships, enhance Cornerstone’s visibility in the marketplace, and stay informed of industry developments. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 3 years in sales or business development in MEP or industrial/manufacturing maintenance industries.  

  • Knowledge of the industrial/manufacturing industry, including equipment, and key market information.  

  • Proven track record of results and accountability.  

  • Proficiency with CRM, Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word), and CMMS quote development platform (ServiceTrade, Zuper, or similar).  

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.  

  • Eligibility to work in the United States without needing a work visa or residency sponsorship.  

  • Current, valid drivers license.  

  • Ability to stand, climb ladders, reach, and bend commensurate with job tasks.  

  • Ability to lift and carry 50-lbs.
