New Business Development Manager, Lithium

Overview

The position is responsible for growing Stryten Energy's sales revenue and customer base through engagement with key OEM partners and strategic end users with a focus on Stryten's Lithium Material Handling (MH) product portfolio. The position will work closely with the Product Marketing team as the bridge between customers and the engineering team to support the continued development of Stryten's Lithium material handling product portfolio and business processes. Key aspects of the lithium product component of this role will include providing technical support and expertise to customers, testing applications and responding to customer feedback. Given the dual nature of this role, the successful individual will have previous lithium experience and demonstrated the ability to work on a cross-functional basis across business units and within the corporation.

This is a remote position - Location Negotiable - near major cities/airports.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions. The salary range for this role is: $120,000 - $135,000 per year. In addition, this position will be eligible for a full range medical, dental and vision benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and target accounts fitting the lithium profile.
  • Develop strategies which enable Stryten to approach both national account customers and regional customers with a unified sales and service program.
  • Serve as a Lithium subject matter expert to the field sales team and make sales calls with the field sales team as necessary to support sales activities.
  • Use customer input and sales information to recommend, design or re-design, develop, test and implement Lithium products.
  • Respond to after sales questions from the field and visit customers as needed should technical expertise be required.
  • Develop key relationships through OEM and Regional Managers as well as internal support staff.
  • Establish and monitor adherence to lithium pricing and procedures guidelines as the primary coordinator for those accounts.
  • Respond to lithium quotes from the field sales team where products do not exist on current price list and ensure products are added to price list for future quoting.
  • Help tailor products, programs and pricing strategy to meet the needs of lithium accounts.
  • Operate within expense budget.
  • Forecast and track lithium sales activities.
  • Advise in the development of lithium sales tools.
  • Perform additional tasks and functions as assigned; examples include, but are not limited to: representing Stryten at trade shows, helping train new account managers, and presenting at sales meetings.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Certifications:

  • BS Degree in business or a related field preferred
  • Five (5) years of previous major accounts selling, preferably in material handling industry
  • Lithium battery experience with CAN bus preferred
  • Read electronic schematics for products with purpose of gaining understanding of circuit operation and identifying product failures
  • Must be comfortable and competent working with high energy systems (480V, 30kW Battery Systems)

Environment & Physical Demands:

  • The position is based out of the employee's home office. A reliable internet connection and a suitable workspace are necessary.The job requires the ability to move around the home office and client sites, including walking, standing.The role requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and speaking on the phone.
  • Travel for this position is estimated around 50% to fulfill business needs and support various projects and initiatives.
