Job Summary
Responsible for providing dependable service through accurate order entry, basic pricing, and secure payment handling.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Processes orders across multiple channels, including phone, email, text, and counter, accurately and promptly
Handles payments securely, including credit card, check, and cash transactions.
Identifies stock products and recommends comparable alternatives.
Maintains margin goals within established pricing guidelines.
Coordinates with team members to ensure service commitments are met.
Nature and Scope
Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.
Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.
Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic computer proficiency, including data entry, email, and order processing systems
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in transactional tasks
Clear and professional communication skills across phone, email, text, and in-person interactions
Ability to identify products and suggest appropriate alternatives based on customer needs
Understanding of and ability to follow established pricing guidelines
Proven reliability and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
