Position Purpose

This role is responsible for driving the growth and development of JCB’s strategic account portfolio across the South-Central region (Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Kansas). The Strategic Account Manager will play a critical role in expanding market share, penetrating key national and regional accounts, and strengthening long-term customer partnerships.

This individual will operate as a trusted advisor to customers, leveraging deep industry knowledge and a consultative sales approach to deliver value-driven solutions across JCB’s full product portfolio. The role requires a balance of hunter (new business development) and farmer (account growth and retention) capabilities, with a focus on enterprise-level relationships and revenue expansion. The territory for this position is in the South-Central territory: Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Kansas.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic account plan to drive revenue growth and increase JCB’s market share within assigned territory
  • Identify, target, and secure high-value national and regional accounts, with a focus on large contractors and enterprise customers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives, key decision-makers, and influencers within target organizations
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for major accounts, ensuring alignment between customer needs and JCB’s solutions
  • Drive sales across the full JCB product portfolio, positioning solutions to meet customer operational and financial objectives
  • Lead complex end-to-end sales cycles, including prospecting, solution development, negotiation, and contract closure
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Dealer Sales, Marketing, Service, Operations) to deliver integrated customer solutions
  • Analyze market trends, customer performance, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and risks
  • Develop and maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting to senior leadership
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Drive continuous improvement in account performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability
  • Provide strategic input into major account planning and pipeline development
  • Maintain deep, current knowledge of JCB products, industry trends, and customer business drivers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field +
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic account management, enterprise sales, or business development within construction equipment, heavy equipment, or related industries
  • Proven experience managing and growing large, complex accounts or national contractor relationships
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and driving market growth
  • Strong experience managing full sales cycles (prospecting through close)
  • Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills, particularly at senior/executive levels
  • Strong business acumen with ability to understand customer operations, financial drivers, and KPIs

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

  • Experience selling within construction equipment, heavy machinery, or industrial markets
  • Established network and relationships with national or regional contractors
  • Experience working within a dealer network model
