Sells a portfolio of products and services that are applicable to a specific market segment, channel or geographic area. Identifies and anticipates market segment needs that inform new product bundles and offerings, with the goal of growing sales.

  • Applies theoretical knowledge-base of concepts within sales discipline
  • Characterized by negotiation skills and specific experience and/or general awareness of the products, services and financials in the market
  • Typically carries a quota and is measured and rewarded financially against achievement to that quota target
  • Works with complex or high profile territory/account, products/services, sales or account management processes
  • Recognized as an expert in one or more areas
  • Has broad authority/opportunity to set and negotiate product/service terms
  • Plans own territory or account approach and manages own resources
  • Possesses a minimum of eight years' related job experience
  • May represent the level at which career may stabilize for many years or even until retirement

  • Has input into colleagues' approaches; manages own and often others' resources; coaches and assists in development of colleagues; work effort may be reviewed conceptually but never in detail.

Problem Solving:

  • Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions

  • Impacts the achievement of customer, project or service objectives; work is guided by functional policies

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Influences others internally and externally, including senior leaders; negotiates with others to adopt product/service terms and/or a different point of view
