We are seeking a driven Inside Sales/Account Executive for a direct hire opportunity with a rapidly growing, founder-led wellness company in Charlotte, NC. This organization is redefining plant-based alternatives through high-quality botanical products, including premium kratom and kava, and is expanding its wholesale footprint across retail channels such as vape shops, smoke shops, wellness stores, and related specialty retailers.

The ideal Inside Sales/Account Executive is socially confident, competitive, coachable, and comfortable making a high volume of daily calls. Success in this role comes from building trust quickly, educating retailers on high-margin products, managing a strong sales pipeline, and consistently converting new accounts into repeat customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive daily outbound sales activity, including 80 to 100 dials per day, to retailers in the kratom, kava, vape, smoke shop, and wellness categories.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and product introduction to objection handling, closing, invoicing, and follow-up.
- Build and maintain strong wholesale customer relationships while helping retailers select best-selling products and profitable product mixes.
- Respond to inbound inquiries via phone, email, and digital channels while maintaining accurate CRM records and pipeline activity.
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals tied to new customer acquisition, revenue growth, conversions, and repeat business.
- Partner with leadership by sharing customer feedback, market trends, competitor insights, and growth opportunities.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $50,000 to $55,000 per year.
- Base salary plus uncapped commission.
- Commission starts immediately.
- New customer sales receive 15% of the total sale value.
- Existing customer orders, second order and after, receive 10%.
- Performance incentives tied to revenue and growth.
- Month 1 to 3 target commission is approximately $500 to $1,000 per month based on $10,000 in revenue.
- By 90 days, target commission is approximately $2,000 per month based on $20,000 to $30,000 in monthly revenue.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- On-site schedule, 5 days per week.
- Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Occasional remote days may be offered.
- Training includes product knowledge, systems, invoicing, catalog and pricing review, mock trial, shadowing, and go-live support.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Drive new business development through high-volume outbound calls and digital outreach.
- Manage retail and wholesale account relationships from first contact through repeat orders.
- Educate customers on product value, pricing, best sellers, and revenue opportunities.
- Maintain CRM activity, pipeline accuracy, customer follow-up, and sales conversion tracking.
- 3 to 5 years of sales, inside sales, business development, account executive, or high-volume cold calling experience preferred.
- Strong ability to make 80 to 100 outbound dials per day and hold meaningful sales conversations.
- Excellent phone presence, email communication, persuasion, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.
- Comfortable selling to retailers, store owners, and wholesale buyers in a consultative manner.
- Self-motivated, competitive, resilient, and highly results-oriented.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-style, performance-driven sales environment.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to quickly establish trust and credibility.
- Ability to learn product details, pricing, catalog information, invoicing processes, and sales systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage follow-up, pipeline activity, and revenue targets.
- CRM experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or a similar platform is helpful.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous B2B sales experience selling to retailers, vape shops, smoke shops, wellness stores, specialty retail, or wholesale accounts.
- Experience in consumer packaged goods, botanical products, wellness products, direct store delivery, or related retail product categories.
- Proven success meeting new customer acquisition goals, revenue targets, call activity metrics, and conversion benchmarks.
- Experience working in a high-growth, founder-led, entrepreneurial, or startup-style environment.
