About the Role

Essity is searching for an experienced Key Account Manager Personal Care . The Key Account Manager will be responsible for growing our business with established Canadian retail customers. Develop, negotiate, and implement account plans that meet Essitys sales and marketing objectives, our joint customer business plans and strive to advance the customers strategic priorities.

This is a remote position responsible for covering select retailers in the Province of Quebec. The ideal candidate should be located in the greater Montreal area and have the ability to travel up to 5 times per year.

What You Will Do

  • Calling on Canadian Drug and Retail Head Offices in Quebec.

  • Develop strategy for future growth of designated customers through leveraging channel strategies, trade investment funds, product mix, and tailored promotional programs.

  • Lead Joint Business Plan process with customers.

  • Leverage Nielsen data and customer POS to develop fact based selling stories.

  • Negotiate and gain commitment from accounts on programs which maximize value for investment.

  • Ensure committed executions execute smoothly and as per customer commitment.

  • Leverage Trade investment to plan, manage and evaluate investment ROI on trade funds allocated to each customer.

  • Work as a business consultant to assist customers to meet their goals and the goals of Essity.

  • Build solid multi-level business relationships with key decision makers and implementers at accounts.

  • Provide monthly and ad-hoc business forecasting i.e. Sales & Investments by account by category.

  • Strong communication to keep cross functional team fully apprised on business and customer conversations.

  • Generate knowledge on market development/customer needs, competitor activities and distribute to internal stakeholders.

Who You Are

  • Min. 5 years of experience in Food & Health Consumer Goods or retail roles involving pricing, customer marketing, or key account management

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or similar field

  • Fluent Bilingual (French & English)

  • Growth Mindset & Opportunity Orientation Manages key accounts with a growth mindset, identifying new opportunities and collaborating across teams to drive commercial success.

  • Analytical Fluency & Thinking Using commercial data to support pricing, mix and ROI improvements

  • Commercial Planning Translating brand priorities into customer-specific activation

  • Excellent team player and ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Strategic thought leader with the ability to provide strong data-based insights.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to multi-task under pressure.

  • Negotiation Skills Securing strong trade terms and driving promo profitability

  • Relationship Building Developing robust customer partnerships

  • Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, and presentation skills

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Aligning with internal teams to land brand plans in-store

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrated experience and success in project management.

  • Proficient with MS-Office in the MS-Windows software, Excel pivot table, PPT, Outlook

  • Knowledge of structured commercial environments with strong promotional planning

  • Valid drivers license and must meet Essity's Corporate Vehicle Policy Standards.
