Building Automation Service Sales Representative
Columbus, OH
A leading provider of building automation and mechanical solutions is hiring a Building Automation Service Sales Representative-ideal for a former BAS/DDC tech, controls specialist, or PM ready to step into a client-facing, consultative role.
This isn't traditional sales-you own the problem and the solution. You'll leverage your technical expertise to identify system inefficiencies, develop tailored solutions, and guide projects from discovery to close-no handoffs.
What You'll Do
- Partner with building owners, facility managers, and contractors to identify system challenges and opportunities
- Perform site assessments of BAS/HVAC systems and recommend upgrades, retrofits, and service agreements
- Build scopes, estimates, and proposals based on your own technical evaluations
- Drive new business while growing existing accounts
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, pipeline management, forecasting, and closing
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth execution and long-term client success
What You Bring
- 3+ years in building automation, HVAC controls, or mechanical systems
- Field experience (BAS/DDC tech, controls specialist, or PM) strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of system performance, sequences of operation, and optimization
- Ability to translate technical details into customer-focused solutions
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, results-driven mindset
