We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Advisor / Assistant Sales Manager to join Jim Pattison Toyota Downtown. This is a dynamic dual role position that combines sales leadership responsibilities with a hands on Product Advisor focus, directly assisting customers through the vehicle purchasing journey and driving personal sales performance.

If you are a driven automotive professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, selling vehicles, mentoring team members, and contributing to dealership success, this role is for you. In this position, you will play an active role on the sales floor by advising customers, building relationships, and achieving sales targets, while also supporting the leadership and daily operations of the sales department. You will assist in driving overall team performance, coaching and supporting sales staff, and helping ensure a high standard of customer experience aligned with dealership goals and Toyota brand expectations.

Schedule: This is a full-time, permanent leadership role based on approximately 40 hours per week. Given the nature of the retail automotive business, this role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as well as additional hours as needed to support business operations and team performance.

This role reports to the General Sales Manager of the dealership.

The Senior Product Advisor / Assistant Sales Manager plays a key role in supporting the sales department while leading by example on the showroom floor. This position is best suited for a high performing automotive sales professional who enjoys customer interaction, mentoring team members, and contributing to dealership results in a hands-on environment.

A day in the life

Customer Experience & Sales Support

  • Deliver an outstanding customer experience throughout the vehicle purchasing process.
  • Assist customers with vehicle selection, product knowledge, financing introductions, and delivery coordination.
  • Support the sales team in achieving monthly sales targets and maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
  • Handle customer concerns professionally and help ensure timely follow-up.

Team Support

  • Lead by example through strong sales performance, professionalism, and customer service.
  • Support the Sales Manager with day-to-day showroom operations and team guidance.
  • Assist with coaching and mentoring Product Advisors on sales process, product knowledge, and customer communication.
  • Help maintain a positive, team-oriented, and performance-driven environment.

Operations & Process

  • Ensure dealership sales processes and manufacturer standards are consistently followed.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and activity using dealership CRM tools.
  • Assist with inventory presentation, showroom standards, and vehicle deliveries.
  • Support dealership promotions, events, and sales initiatives.
