In this role, you won't just manage relationshipsyou will act as a trusted advisor, helping customers optimize their supply chains, unlock multi-business unit value, and achieve critical sustainability targets through our innovative services. You will be responsible for owning customer relationships and driving revenue growth, acting either independently for regional or smaller customers or as part of a broader account team. Growth is achieved through pipeline development, proactive business generation, and high-stakes contract negotiations. The Account Manager works in close orchestration with specialized product teams to ensure seamless solution delivery, maximize customer satisfaction, and continuously expand the business scope. *This is not a remote role and does require in office presence.* Job Description: WHAT YOU'LL DO: Strategic Growth & Revenue Generation: Drive profitability, cash flow, and pipeline growth across your assigned portfolio. Sustainability Leadership: Partner with customers to align their outbound supply chains with eco-friendly initiatives, actively driving the adoption of our green services. Tender & Commercial Excellence: Lead and participate in bids, RFQs, and commercial negotiations, orchestrating internal stakeholders to deliver winning value propositions. Relationship & Stakeholder Management: Build multi-level, deep-trust relationships within the customer's organizationfrom operational to strategicpositioning Wallenius Wilhelmsen as their definitive "go-to" logistics provider. Performance & Collaboration: Partner with the Customer Success Organization to monitor business performance, drive high customer satisfaction (CSAT), ensure accurate forecasting, and act on structured KPI data. Governance & Risk: Establish robust governance frameworks for your accounts while ensuring strict compliance with GDPR, competition law, sanctions, and anti-corruption policies. Job Requirements: WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience 5-10 years of successful experience in B2B sales or complex supply chain management Extensive experience navigating high-stakes B2B negotiations, global tendering, and complex contracting A forward-leaning mindset with a deep understanding of global supply chains, risk analysis, and market-shaping trends Highly organized with the ability to interpret complex data for accurate forecasting, performance monitoring, and KPI management Proven ability to self-start, assemble, and inspire cross-functional, multicultural virtual teams across different geographies to deliver integrated customer solutions Ability to thrive in ambiguity and can adapt quickly to a changing global environment while balancing local nuances WHEN YOU JOIN US At Wallenius Wilhelmsen, we prioritize your well-being.
