Purpose of Position
The Sales Director will support the Sales Region's initiatives and lead a team of up to 12 direct reports. This individual will work closely with the VP, Sales to support the achievement of NetJets' overall sales and financial goals. The Sales Director possesses the skills to improve the existing talent level in the Region and recruit, build a strong talent pipeline, and make informed hiring decisions as business needs evolve.
This role requires a proven sales leader with a strong track record of developing, coaching, and elevating both Associate and Executive Sales Executives. The ideal candidate is a strategic people leader who can analyze sales data, conversion metrics, pipeline health, and overall addressable market opportunities to drive long-term growth and improve team performance.
The Sales Director works with their peers, the Sales Management team, and the Executive Management team to improve processes, develop new products and campaigns, and define best practices that will be applied across all Regions.
This individual must be capable of implementing innovative sales strategies, identifying evolving market trends, and positioning the sales organization to effectively communicate long-term value propositions to prospective Owners. This is intended to be a true coaching and leadership role focused on talent development, sales effectiveness, and regional strategy.
This is a highly visible position that consistently requires more hours than a standard work week. Substantial travel (up to 25%) within the assigned region is required, as well as travel to Company meetings and events outside the Region of responsibility.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Define applicable metrics and analytics for continuous improvement.
- Analyze sales performance metrics, conversion rates, pipeline activity, and market penetration trends to identify opportunities for increased sales effectiveness and revenue growth.
- Accountable for execution and achievement of sales goals set forth by Sales Management, including quotas and processes involving sales improvement and generating revenue.
- Management of Opportunity Pipeline including coaching wins and losses.
- Provide hands-on coaching and development to Associate and Executive Sales Executives focused on consultative selling techniques, strategic account management, and long-term relationship building.
- Identification and development of New Market and Product Opportunities.
- Understand current CRM (SalesForce) and support adoption for optimum team output and effectiveness.
- Leverage CRM data and business intelligence tools to assess attainable market opportunities, regional trends, and sales team effectiveness.
- Develop an A-player talent pipeline through recruiting efforts; interview, hire, and train new team members.
- Coach direct reports on sales strategy and tactics, pipeline, process, systems, business skills, and results.
- Demonstrate an understanding of current market trends and provide the team with actionable insights.
- Partner with senior leadership to refine regional sales strategies, improve conversion outcomes, and drive consistent execution across the sales organization.
- Foster an energetic, competitive sales culture that actively lives out NetJets' Core Competencies and supports the 20/20 Flight Plan.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership/management experience, recruiting, and succession planning skills are a must.
- Demonstrated success leading high-performing sales organizations and developing sales talent across varying experience levels.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to constantly changing situations.
- Willingness to travel to events and support remote teams around 25% of the time.
- Experience in a Direct Sales role.
- Prior experience managing remote teams.
- Must be able to understand and clearly communicate varying financial and operational aspects of fractional ownership and position NetJets as the program of choice to company personnel and potential prospects.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire direct reports to achieve their goals.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales metrics, market trends, and operational data to influence strategy and decision-making.
- Knowledge of target market and research tools for prospecting.
- Must be proficient with Salesforce.com, Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Experience implementing innovative sales strategies, coaching methodologies, and performance improvement initiatives within a complex sales organization preferred.
