Job Description:

Our client, a company focused on regenerative growing solutions that support healthier soils, stronger crops, and more sustainable farming systems, is seeking a relationship-driven territory sales professional to support and grow business across Northern Iowa. This individual will work closely with growers, dealers, agronomists, and industry partners to build long-term relationships, identify new business opportunities, and serve as a trusted resource on agronomic solutions and products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow customer relationships throughout the territory
  • Identify new business opportunities and manage existing accounts
  • Provide product, agronomic, and customer support
  • Maintain sales activity, forecasts, and CRM updates
  • Participate in trade shows, field days, and industry events
  • Collaborate with leadership on territory growth strategies
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity
  • Travel throughout Southern Minnesota and surrounding areas as needed

Experience & Background

  • Minimum of 3 years of agricultural sales experience required
  • Sales Agronomist experience highly desirable
  • Background in agronomy, fertilizer, soil health, horticulture, compost, turf, lawn & garden, or related ag inputs preferred
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through close
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms
  • Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
