The Role: Inside Sales Rep

Job Classification : Full-time, Non-exempt

Job Location : Fairfield/West Chester, Ohio, On-site, 1 st shift

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Account Manager, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for adding value to the customer’s order experience. This position will assist in processing orders, answering customer questions, and function as a liaison with all other internal departments. This position requires a sense of urgency, effective communication, and customer service skills, to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of Customer Service experience, support key accounts.
  • Experience in Food Manufacturing or Food industry preferred.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Knowledge of the industry and products/services being sold is a plus.
  • Bilingual is a plus.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

As an Inside Sales Rep your core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Receive, process, and monitor customers’ purchase orders.
  • Provide information and updates regarding order status to customers and/or other departments.
  • Investigate and resolve production status issues.
  • Proactively address shipping and scheduling issues.
  • Proactively communicate with customer regarding changes in product availability or delivery schedules.
  • Provide complaint resolution in a timely and professional manner.
  • Direct customer related issues beyond control to the correct individual(s).
  • Daily invoicing of shipments.
  • Research past customer history.
  • Communicate customers’ service needs to other departments and follow-through to completion, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Monitor outstanding shipping report – will calls and company trucks.
  • Effectively communicate with customers via phone or e-mail.
  • React to change productively and manage other essential tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor

Physical Requirements/Environment

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • The team member is frequently required to stand, walk, walk up and down stairs, sit, and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
