LocationRemote Position-Connecticut/New York Description PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Overall responsibility is learning the basic selling skills of plastic resin distribution through on-the-job training. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Devote your full time to the business and affairs of Chase Plastic Services, Inc., and to use your best efforts to perform faithfully and efficiently the responsibilities assigned to you. We expect you to adhere to the Sales Associate List of Expectations (a copy is attached) as well as meet or exceed any financial and administrative objectives as assigned by your manager or the company. While in this position, you will be required to: Working Knowledge of the CPS product offering, competitive materials, and preferred materials for particular industry applications. Become proficient in Microsoft Office Desktop Applications and the CPS Sales Database Learn how to manage and identify credit issues. Work with your manager to develop a process to maximize call frequency at high-potential accounts, using concepts such as Call Zones, Account Segmentation, To-Do Lists, and Target Tracking Work with your manager to develop and update technical binder for use in sales calls Adhere to the Company Core Values Position Requirements QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently to meet the needs of the business. The following requirements are representative of minimum levels of the knowledge, training, skill and/or ability required. KNOWLEDGE / TRAINING / SKILL and/or ABILITY A Bachelors of Science Degree or equivalent work experience in a thermoplastic resin distribution or molding environment is required. Successful completion of the sales trainee program is required. An intermediate knowledge level in a Windows based operating system including all Microsoft Office Desktop Applications. Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, high sense of urgency and follow up and the ability to perform your responsibilities in a self-directed manner are essential. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to develop then present formal customer and supplier presentations; The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities; Ability to identify, manage and resolve credit situations. Demonstrates a strong commitment to the company core values, act as a company advocate and a role model to others. General knowledge of CPS product offering, competitive materials and preferred materials for a particular industry or application; PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Individuals will need to sit and operate a motor vehicle for extended periods of time. May require walking periodically throughout the day; or reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting up to 25 pounds as required to file documents or store materials and/or office supplies throughout the work day. Proper lifting techniques required. Ability to travel, and at times stay overnight for several days at a time.
