Director of Sales

KTEN is seeking a Director of Sales for sales oversight of its NBC, ABC and CW stations in the Sherman-Ada DMA. KTEN is a legacy station, located in Denison, Texas, having celebrated over 70 years on air.

The successful candidate will have an impressive track record of driving growth opportunities and will possess a strong background managing inventory and price controls, sales training and development, and selling advertising in local news, major live sporting events, and digital marketing solutions.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Work closely with General Manager to predict market trends, set budgets, and performance forecasts

• Create and monitor strategy for sales department

• Motivate and mentor sales staff

• Assist in maintaining company policies and federal and state regulations

Qualifications:

• Experience in media/advertising sales management

• Successful experience driving revenue growth for both on-air and digital products

• Strong leadership and recruiting abilities

• Ability to effectively handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts

• Proficient in all MS Office programs

• Wide Orbit proficiency is a plus
