Job Responsibilities Review architectural, structural, and bid documents to interpret customer intent and identify scope requirements
Analyze plans and specifications to identify scope gaps, conflicts, over-design, and unclear requirements before estimating
Develop complete RFQs that reflect project scope, assumptions, and customer expectations
Prepare RFQ summaries, assumptions, and clarifications to support estimating accuracy
Support customer opportunities during the pre-contract phase
Participate in early technical discussions with customers, contractors, and design-build teams
Assist sales teams with technical questions, constructability considerations, and scope alignment
Support design-assist and design-build conversations with technical input
Serve as the point of contact between sales and estimating for RFQ intake and clarification
Coordinate with engineering when early technical input is needed to validate assumptions
Reduce estimating and engineering rework by resolving scope questions before RFQs are released
Ensure qualified RFQs are released into the estimating workflow
Identify and pre-qualify potential projects from approved bid platforms
Review plans and specifications to determine project fit, complexity, and pursuit strategy
Convert qualified opportunities into estimate-ready RFQs
Use AI-assisted tools, bid platforms, and document review software to support specification and drawing review
Maintain RFQ documentation, version control, and records within CRM and quoting systems
Support improvement of RFQ standards, templates, and best practices
