Job Overview:
The Floral Sales Area Manager at The Design Haus is responsible for driving sales performance and ensuring the success of the assigned regional sales team. This leadership role involves managing a team of sales professionals, developing strategies to meet and exceed sales targets, and ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication and relationship management. Reporting to the Floral Sales Global Manager, the Floral Sales Area Manager serves as a critical link between regional operations and global sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Personal + Regional Sales Strategy and Goal Achievement:
Execute sales strategies to meet regional revenue and growth objectives.
Monitor sales metrics and analyze performance to identify opportunities for improvement, and report to the Floral Sales Global Manager
Submit personal commission values to the Floral Sales Global Manager for review
Submit the team’s commission values to the Floral Sales Global Manager for submission to the Director
Assign bookings to clients to ensure workload equity
Provide regular updates to the Floral Sales Global Manager on regional sales performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Work closely with other departments to align sales efforts with company goals.
Team Leadership and Management:
Hire, train, and mentor regional sales representatives, fostering a culture of high performance and positivity.
Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, provide feedback, and share best practices.
Implement disciplinary actions as needed to hold team members accountable
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction from point of sale to event execution
Creating design proposals with profitable recipes
Collaborate with the design and operations teams to deliver seamless client experiences.
Attend monthly showcases
Market Analysis and Expansion:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned area.
Stay informed on industry trends, client preferences, and competitive landscapes.
Attend monthly sales events hosted by regional venues
Operational Oversight:
Ensure sales processes align with company policies and operational standards.
Address and resolve any sales-related issues impacting client satisfaction or project delivery.
Disperse clients to the team when assigned by the venue
Attend BEO + Regional Meetings
Some travel to other regions for showcase
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the floral, events, or wedding industry
Proven leadership and team management experience
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in using Google Suite and Details Floral Software (a plus)
Knowledge of floral design and the wedding/event industry (a plus)
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Have reliable transportation
Ability to stand for an extended period
