VP of Sales / Sales Director Apparel
We are seeking a strategic, well-connected VP of Sales / Sales Director to lead commercial growth across the U.S. market for a global apparel organization. This is an opportunity for a seasoned sales executive with deep apparel industry expertise, strong relationships across major retail channels, and a proven ability to drive revenue growth.
The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of global sourcing, garment production, and account strategy, along with the leadership skills to grow key business relationships and build a high-performing sales function.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business development across major U.S. retailers, wholesalers, importers, and strategic accounts.
- Own and expand high-value national accounts, building long-term partnerships and increasing volume.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities to help shape sales strategy.
- Lead margin-focused selling, forecasting, and budget planning to support profitable growth.
- Partner closely with global production and design teams to ensure smooth execution and client satisfaction.
- Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team grounded in accountability and results.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive experience in sales or account management within apparel, accessories, or licensed goods.
- Established relationships with major U.S. retail accounts, Tier 1/Tier 2 players, boutique retailers, or importers.
- Strong knowledge of garment production cycles, sourcing, lead times, and supply chain operations.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and, at times, internationally.
