The Role: Xylem seeks a Sales Representative (Flygt Pumps) Municipal Market for Massachusetts and Connecticut markets. This position is part of a passionate team dedicated to providing legendary customer service and supporting company goals by optimizing our commercial team, acting as "One Company," and driving revenue and profitability. The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with external customers and Xylem departments.

The Sales Representative plays a critical role in promoting and selling wastewater industry products, with a focus on pumps and services to customers in the Massachusetts and Connecticut areas. This position involves identifying potential customers, conducting sales presentations, and negotiating contracts. The Sales Representative collaborates with cross functional teams to address customer needs, perform market analysis, and implement sales strategies. Additionally, this role involves maintaining strong customer relationships and providing excellent customer service. Strong sales skills, a thorough understanding of the wastewater industry, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

Prospecting and Generating Leads

Identifying potential clients and target markets

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent work experience including 2+ years' sales or sales related experience (pump or process industry preferred). General knowledge of mechanical and pumping designs; hydraulic, pneumatics, water flow, electric motors in related field of pumps, pumping systems, or construction preferred. Proficiency in sales tools and software (e.g., SalesForce, CRM systems). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross functional teams. Strong negotiation and closing skills. Knowledge of market research and competitive analysis techniques. Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 to $105,000 base plus quarterly bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
