POSITION: Vice President of Business Development

COMPENSATION: Pursuant to Colorado regulations, if this job is performed in Colorado, the base salary range is $180,000-$200,000, total comp up to $400k (including bonus). Eligible to participate in the company benefits plan. We offer health, vision, dental, and pet insurance. DIRECT REPORT: Vice President, Client Services

SUMMARY

This executive position is responsible for setting the vision and providing strategic leadership for the entire new business development function. The VP will drive high-level growth strategy, cultivate and manage executive client and partner relationships, and ensure the business development team’s efforts are strategically aligned with overall company objectives and revenue generation.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to)

  • Architect and own the global Business Development vision, ensuring full integration with the company’s long-term revenue and expansion strategy.
  • Drive executive-level revenue strategy, identifying and evaluating major market opportunities to maximize organic growth and market capture.
  • Hold ultimate accountability for the execution of all high-level growth initiatives to achieve aggressive annual recurring revenue targets.
  • Champion cross-functional synergy with department heads to align business plans, budgeting, and resource allocation with strategic new opportunities.
  • Cultivate and manage key institutional client and strategic partner relationships at the executive level.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale the Business Development organization, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring leadership development across all tiers.
  • Synthesize market intelligence and industry trends to advise the Board and ELT on growth projections, total addressable market (TAM), and competitive positioning.
  • Establish the strategic messaging and standards for all high-stakes management opportunity proposals and presentations.
  • Oversee the end-to-end business development pipeline, optimizing the process for maximum efficiency and lead conversion.
  • Direct the design and implementation of innovative business development initiatives, tools, and resources to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Assist on PR and soliciting Cardinal Group Companies.
  • Evaluate and provide insight on economic activity, conditions and trends.
  • Implement strategies for lead generation and perform independent research on likely candidates for the BD team to pursue.
  • Run and adjust the Fee Calculator model to inform the Business Development team about margins and potential structures.
  • Read, comment, work with company attorneys (as needed), and update legal documents (PMA, MSA, Term Sheets, etc.) that are in the negotiation process.
  • Participate in Cardinal U training as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree required
