BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

We are working with a well-established global company specializing in engineered polymer solutions - designing and manufacturing polymer technology including coated fabrics/substrates for almost every industry that exists.

Due to growth the company is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive sales of coated (and other applications including lamination, hot melt, etc.) fabrics and other substrates into the aerospace (think evacuation systems, fuel bladders, thermal insulation, impact bags, ice prevention systems, etc.) and outdoor/recreation sectors of the market (equipment, gear including waterproof breathable fabrics, fabrics for inflatable boats/kayaks/ paddle boards/lift bags/flotation devices/gymnastics flooring/dry bags/sleeping bags/tent materials/seat cushions, etc.).

This position comes with a competitive base salary, strong benefits, and is a remote / work from home role with travel.

This person will be responsible for promoting and selling products and services utilizing sales excellence concepts into the market industry / product range in order to achieve sales and profit targets. Responsible for generating profitable sales growth by leveraging the company's capabilities and resources in order to meet and exceed customer needs and expectations. Responsible for building relationships across all levels within existing customers and prospective target accounts to generate new business opportunities.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Sales Growth: Achieve Sales Target

Profitability: Achieve Profit Target

Project Focus: Generate and convert projects for key target customers. Manage project cycle and velocity

Track, monitor and work to improve project win rate. Utilize CRM for all project information

Pursue sales leads, visit existing and new strategic customers with the focus being Total Customer Satisfaction and Generation of Projects for Sales Growth

Build customer relationships and strategic partnerships, assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services; respond to complex customer inquiries; negotiate prices and delivery times, and win sales orders to meet sales targets

Identify, research, and contact prospective target growth customers

Provide market feedback and intelligence for use by Marketing Department, Segment/Product/Lead Group personnel

Promote standard products, and custom engineered products where needed. Be a total solution provider

Establish the market sell price and profit margin in collaboration with the Marketing Department utilizing market research, tools and methods

Education and Experience:

Minimum of 4 Year College degree. (Business or Engineering preferred)

Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, or engineering related field required

Knowledge of aerospace and Outdoor/recreation market is a plus

Knowledge of rubber/plastic products, extrusion, coated, laminated materials

Familiarity with ISO quality requirements is beneficial

Competencies:
