Position Overview
The Senior Account Manager – HVAC Service & Maintenance will be responsible for developing, managing, and growing long-term client relationships within the institutional market, including universities, hospitals, government facilities, and large campuses. This role requires a proven track record of managing Service and Maintenance for systems including Chillers, Central Energy plants, and other complex HVAC systems, ensuring that clients receive the highest standard of quick response time and exemplary service. The successful candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with strategic account management skills to drive client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned strategic institutional and healthcare accounts, managing all service and maintenance needs.
- Develop a deep understanding of client facilities, including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and central plant operations.
- Manage Service and Maintenance projects for strategic accounts
- Proactively identify opportunities for system upgrades, energy efficiency improvements, and lifecycle planning.
- Collaborate with service technicians, engineers, and project teams to ensure seamless execution of maintenance contracts.
- Drive renewal of service agreements and expand client partnerships through consultative selling.
- Provide clients with technical recommendations, maintenance strategies, and budget planning for capital replacement.
- Prepare and deliver client reports, proposals, and presentations that highlight performance, cost savings, and operational reliability.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and contractual obligations.
- Mentor junior account managers and contribute to team-wide client development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in HVAC service account management, with specific expertise in institutional clients.
- Proven technical background in chillers, boilers, central plants, and complex HVAC systems.
- Strong track record of building and maintaining long-term client relationships within aviation, healthcare, higher education, or government sectors.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to prepare budgets, forecasts, and proposals.
- Proficiency in CRM and service management software.

Travel Requirements
- Regular local and regional travel to client facilities is required.
- Travel expected to be 30–40%, with occasional overnight stays depending on client location and project requirements.
