As a Business Development Manager, you will manage and expand relationships with our dealer network and our clients. You will act as a key point of contact, ensuring client satisfaction and driving revenue growth through strategic and relationship planning. This role requires a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on partnership with our valued dealer partners and end clients. You’ll work as part of a high-performing sales team, cultivate relationships with our dealer network and collaborate with marketing and product development to ensure our offerings exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with dealers. This involves regular communication, understanding their business needs and challenges, and acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth : Identifying new business opportunities within the existing dealer base, such as upselling and cross-selling products or services. This also includes contributing to achieving sales targets and managing the sales process.
  • Problem-Solving and Support: Addressing dealer inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Market and Industry Knowledge: Staying informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and dealer needs to provide tailored solutions and support. This includes having a strong POV on what product to build / features and strong relationships internally to influence product decisions.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams (sales, marketing, customer relations and product development) to ensure dealers have the necessary resources and support.
  • Product Education : Whether its new salespeople in our dealer network or new products that we are launching, we will count on our Business Development Manager to be knowledgeable about our product and keep our dealers up to date on all things Tiara.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Tracking dealer performance, analyzing sales data, and reporting on key metrics. This includes
    • Annual meeting with dealer principles to goal set (allocation)
    • Quarterly meeting with dealer principals reviewing where they stand to plan and developing recovery plans if necessary.
  • Travel : Travel expectation is significant, with regularly scheduled visits to dealers a couple times per year and attendance at boat shows and local events.
    • Partnering with the service team, visits to dealers and end customer on service calls to ensure a positive experience.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent sales experience.
  • 10+ years of sales experience in luxury goods, marine, aviation, or automotive sectors.
  • Proven success managing dealer/distributor networks across multiple regions.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and managing high-value client relationships.
  • Deep understanding of the luxury market and customer expectations.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, and ability to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely
  • Expert understanding of service and product, and ability to innovate new ways the product can serve customers
  • Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities
  • Innate drive to succeed and take initiative
  • Strong organizational talents and ability to work under pressure and in new environments
  • Ability to speak multiple languages is strongly preferred
  • Strategic thinker with operational discipline and a customer-first mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a consultative sales approach
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and data-driven sales strategies including forecasting and performance analytics.
  • Strong understanding of wholesale sales, channel marketing, and partner enablement.
