Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Sales Executive to join our growing team in Dedham, MA!
The Employee Benefits Sales Executive reports to the sales leader, individuals whose primary responsibilities are in the sales and renewal of business, achieving new business goals to drive revenue and growth . Business is primarily conducted outside of the physical location of the offic e.
How You Will Contribute:
Develops and acquires new business from both new and existing clients through prospecting and targeted outreach.
Identifies market needs and proposes relevant products and services to potential clients.
Prepares and delivers new business and renewal proposals, coordinating closely with internal teams like Employee Benefits.
Maintains industry knowledge through networking and professional development activities.
Conduct regular service calls and client coverage reviews to assess and address insurance needs.
Sells additional coverage to current clients and ensures compliance with agency standards.
Manages CRM data for prospect tracking and documents all sales activities consistently.
Participates in sales meetings and collaborates with the marketing team to secure carrier quotes.
Supports company-carrier relationships through positive engagement with representatives.
Works toward achieving personal sales, education, and development goals set by agency leadership.
Licenses and Certifications:
Insurance Producer license in good standing (authorities in states needed to service the assigned book of business)
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
Bachelor's degree or experience commensurate with the same.
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Exceptional telephone demeanor
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
2+ years' experience functioning in an insurance agency or carrier including sales experience
Strong technical knowledge of the industry of expertise currently being targeted.
This position requires routine or periodic travel which may require the team members to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position.
