W.S. Darley & Co., a leader in advanced manufacturing, CNC machining, and comprehensive assembly services, seeks a driven and dynamic Sales Representative to expand our presence among large defense contractors. In this role, you will be the primary liaison between our company and prominent defense industry clients, introducing them to the full suite of W.S. Darley & Co.s capabilities and solutions.

An OEM & DOD Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) & DOD to drive business growth. This role involves strategic planning, sales, and relationship management to secure new business opportunities and expand market share with OEMs & DOD.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan focused on engaging large defense contractors and prime government suppliers.
  • Proactively identify, approach, and cultivate relationships with decision-makers, engineers, procurement managers, and key stakeholders within target organizations.
  • Promote and present W.S. Darley & Co.s core offerings, including CNC machining, precision manufacturing, assembly, prototyping, and related value-added services.
  • Understand and analyze client requirements, RFPs, and technical specifications to align W.S. Darley & Co. solutions with customer needs.
  • Coordinate and participate in on-site meetings, presentations, and technical discussions to showcase our capabilities and address client questions.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term partnership.
  • Work closely with internal engineering, production, and customer service teams to guarantee seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Track sales activities, report on pipeline development, and provide accurate sales forecasts to management.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, defense procurement updates, and competitor activities relevant to advanced manufacturing and assembly solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Proven track record of successful B2B sales, preferably with experience in the defense sector, manufacturing, or industrial sales.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining, assembly processes, and technical manufacturing solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to comprehend technical documentation, blueprints, and customer specifications.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to operate independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites, trade shows, and industry events as needed. Estimated at 40% of the time.
  • Familiarity with government contracting and procurement processes is a plus.
