Position Description:

Great opportunity to begin your sales career in a position with high-income potential. This is NOT a commission-only position! Earn a generous base salary with the potential for additional bonuses once training is done. Travel, food, and entertainment expenses covered. This role could be hybrid or remote based on proximity to an office location.

Through the 12-week Sales Team Enrichment Program (STEP), youll develop and sharpen sales skills to provide solutions to your customers employee benefit needs (specifically dental, vision, and hearing products). Learn how to build and maintain strong business relationships to meet sales targets.

Once youve finished the STEP program, you embark on your sales career with Ameritas though your unique approach to your market and client base. While you have the flexibility and freedom of working your own way, youre not alone. Youll continue to have support and guidance from other sales reps across the country and in your region, and from other business owners and stakeholders who are passionate about helping you reach your goals.

Position Location:

  • This is a hybrid role working partially in-office and partially from home.

What you do:

  • Learn and develop knowledge around Ameritas employee benefit products to effectively assist customers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the proper processing of all sold products from time of sale to issuance.
  • Learn about the importance of building, maintaining and enhancing strong producer relationships through superior product and services knowledge, territory management practices, and excellent customer service.
  • Understand competitor selling points and promote our differentiators.
  • Learn different prospecting and selling methods.

What you bring:

  • Entrepreneurial drive
  • Enthusiasm for learning and ability to learn through virtual and in-person formats.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Highly energized, motivated, results oriented self-starter with problem-solving skills.
  • Ideally a bachelors degree within the last 0-3 years in sales, entrepreneurship, business management, marketing , risk management, or communications.
