Summary: The National Sales & Marketing Sales Director is responsible for collaborating and working with MSIs field sales teams to establish strategies and execute plans for growing the sales of our largest customers, buying groups and trade organizations across North America. The position will also assist the Team Leader of National Sales and Marketing in working with the Sales Teams to perpetuate the strategies and fundamentals to grow MSIs floor, wall and hardscape categories across multiple sales channels driving sales results.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, buying groups, and trade organizations.
  • Identify large-scale sales opportunities and develop focused strategies in collaboration with internal MSI teams.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and follow up to drive consistent sales growth.
  • Understand key customer needs and partner with internal teams to develop tailored solutions that boost overall sales.
  • Establish and grow B2B sales relationships to secure new sales programs.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between customers, field sales teams, and internal departments.
  • Support new product launches through webinars, in-person presentations, and training sessions.
  • Lead multi-day internal training programs for new employees focused on products, go-to-market strategies, and processes.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of key marketing and merchandising initiatives.
  • Train and support field sales teams to reinforce MSIs strategies for flooring, wall tile, and hardscape growth
  • Travel 40% - 60% locally, occasionally nationally and/or internationally.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Four (4) plus years of experience in key accounts, national accounts, strategic sales, or buying group management.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of related industry experience; natural stone, tile or hard flooring industries.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Proven success in developing and expanding customer relationships.
  • Confidence and foresight in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence decisions.
  • Skilled at listening and extracting key insights from diverse sources.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong math skills calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, and volume.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
