With 40 years of proven performance, national recognition, and a seasoned leadership team, we’re entering our next phase of expansion and looking for a high-performing Vice President of Business Development to help lead the charge.

What You’ll Do:

As VP of Business Development, your focus will be selling CPT’s class action administration services to both Plaintiff and Defense attorneys, generating revenue and hitting your yearly goals, while working inside a team environment.  The position requires extensive nationwide travel.

The Ideal Candidate:

You are a confident, persuasive, and proactive relationship builder who understands how to navigate the legal landscape with credibility and agility inside the class action space. Whether from years of direct legal sales or as a former practicing attorney, you understand the urgency, nuance, and complexity of the legal world.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of business development, legal sales, or client-facing experience in professional services (class action experience strongly preferred).
  • Experience using Law360, Lex Machina, and Salesforce to identify and track sales opportunities.
  • Proven ability to generate and close complex deals in a relationship-driven sales cycle.
  • JD preferred—but not required. Attorneys ready to transition from practice are encouraged to apply.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% and attend evening/weekend client events.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to attorneys, executives, and legal teams.
    • Bonus: Experience authoring thought leadership articles, contributing to legal publications, or participating in CLE panels, webinars, or industry speaking engagements.
  • Independent, goal-oriented, and collaborative with high personal integrity.
