Position: Outside Sales Rep

Location: Based out of Ypsilanti, MI
Salary: $50-60K + Commission ( Total Comp expected to be $150k)
Key skills:

As an Outside Sales Representative, you’ll be the face of our client to new and existing commercial customers, selling industry-leading solutions including Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection systems. Your focus: drive revenue by creating strong client relationships and delivering custom safety solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Identify and engage new commercial clients through cold calls, networking, referrals, and industry events.
· Build a strong sales pipeline and manage the full sales cycle — from lead generation to close.
· Maintain and grow existing client relationships with ongoing communication and outstanding customer service.
· Understand and clearly communicate our product/service offerings — quote recurring services and projects with confidence.
· Deliver polished, in-person proposals and follow up with clients through every stage of the process.
· Collaborate closely with operations to ensure smooth project handoff and customer satisfaction.
· Keep the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system updated daily with calls, activities, opportunities, and outcomes.
· Participate in weekly sales training and mentorship sessions.

Qualifications:
· 3+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in life safety, technology, or construction
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office
· Driver’s License and clean driving record required
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred (not required)
Performance Metrics:
• Make 25 outbound calls per day.
• Attend 5 outside appointments per day.
• Achieve a quota of $200K-$800K on projects and 500K on RMR per year. Project quota will be shared in January of each year for the calendar year.
• Contact all referrals from Inside Sales or other Company Lead Generation tools within 2 hours.
• Follow SOP for quoting projects and submitting quotes promptly.
• 1.25 hours of Sales Training Weekly
• Meet monthly sales targets.
• Follow up with customers within 24 hours of meetings.
