  Assistant Vice President, Sales, Business Development and Marketing Work with the President/COO of Workforce Development to lead manage, direct, and coordinate the work of staff engaged in selling ACT’s Workforce Development programs & related services. Typical work-related activities include: Formulate and carry out successful national sales strategies.Manage, train, grow, motivate, and retain an effective team of sales personnel.Personally sell ACT’s workforce solutions to state and national organizations, employers, and contract clients.Develop effective strategic plans to develop leads and business acquisition in a broad cross section of market segments, including large, medium, and small size businesses.Achieve and exceed annual sales goals and objectives.Develop and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal agencies that lead to sales and service opportunities.Drive effective pipeline building and management; strong sales database management and communications with prospects.Create effective sales infrastructure to track and monitor sales and marketing efforts.Develop and administer procedures for evaluating staff performance and administering staff merit increases.Interface effectively with members of ACT at multiple levels of the organization.Develop and distribute a network for the sales of the WorkKeys System to business for development and selection purposes.Participate in, and contribute to, the corporation’s strategic planning processes.Effectively deliver ACT’s messages orally and in writing.Establish performance goals and objectives for the Area’s management team and staff and ensure that they receive timely evaluations.Participate in the annual planning and budgeting process of the corporation, including keeping informed of priorities and objectives for ACT’s workforce development solutions.Contribute ideas and proposals for enhancing the corporation’s procedures and practices with due consideration for the quality and cost of the work performed.Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding corporate and client information.
