IHC Health Solutions is a member of The IHC Group, a publicly traded health and life insurance holding company (NYSE: IHC) offering some of the most innovative and competitive health insurance products in the marketplace.   Along with a dynamic work environment, IHC Health Solutions offers talented people a competitive compensation and benefits package, and career advancement opportunities.  We are seeking a Tele-Sales Representative in our Minneapolis Office.  This position is responsible for calling, recruiting, training and supporting IHC’s contracted producers on behalf of our General Agents as directed by the Vice President, to distribute profitable short term health insurance, dental insurance, discount prescription drug program, overseas travel medical, and any other programs introduced and offered by the Company with an emphasis on achieving our stated sales goals.  This position also is responsible for coordinating all phases of sales, special projects and phone coverage.  The duties and responsibilities of this position include:  ·        On behalf of their VP, clearly articulate IHC’s conceptual selling points to IHC’s producers and perform one-on-one telephonic and web-based product training.·        Develop and maintain relationships with Producers and General Agents to uncover client needs, provide solutions, and increase sales. Champion the customer with outstanding customer service and work ethic. Act as a general liaison between IHC and client/distribution.·        Identify sales opportunities unique to each Producer and General Agent assigned; reinforce IHC product lines to clients with the goal to set up sell in the best interest of IHC and the producer. ·        According to established measurement time periods, demonstrate increased sales within the group of Producers assigned. ·        Document outcome of each producer’s contact in Sales’ Management Software and provide follow up to GA regarding contact with their producer. ·        Prepare and facilitate licensing, appointment, and online sales generation (links) setup.·        Follow specified instructions in the delivery of sales messages, uncovering producer’s needs.·        Facilitate in gathering of competitive data, and may assist with compiling competitive analysis. ·        Proactively identify, evaluate and solve business problems; leverage appropriate problem solving/analysis tools and/or resources for resolution.·        Assess the Producer's marketing strategies and business attitude to determine if they fit a satisfactory profile that will lead to submission of adequately risk based, priced new business.·        Coach producers to adapt accurate and comfortable marketing and sales techniques to close more sales of IHC products and services.·        Contribute to the development of internal Sales and Administrative Strategies.·        Be knowledgeable regarding competitor’s benefits, rates and marketing.·        Other projects as assigned. The successful candidate must have a High school diploma or GED; Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience; 2+ years experience in a Sales and Marketing environment; previous experience in a health insurance environment, working with and presenting a variety of plan types and insurance products. Knowledge of IHC products preferred; understanding of individual health plans, short-term medical plans and ancillary benefits a plus; telephone sales or outbound call center experience; comfortable on telephone - excellent professional telephone skills and etiquette; strong customer service and people skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills; strong PC skills, using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and presentation software; excellent project management and organization skills; experience working in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities and projects; MN Health and/or Life, Health License a plus.
