Visitor Experience and Museum Sales Coordinator The Herreshoff Marine Museum / America?s Cup Hall of Fame in Bristol, RI is seeking an individual to oversee our Museum store and admissions functions on a seasonal basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for: ? monitoring the overall quality of the visitor experience in collaboration with program staff ? all aspects of the store operation (inventory maintenance and development, monitoring sales and promotions, POP displays and organization) including web-based sales ? promotion and sales of museum merchandise ? meeting objectives for sales and revenues ? acquisition of new merchandise (subject to approval) ? recruitment, coordination and scheduling of volunteers in collaboration with program coordinators. ? welcoming visitors and providing an orientation and other information to visitors This position is full-time/seasonal starting April 14th through October 17th with a work week of Tuesday through Sunday. The position requires experience and proven success in retail operations, preferably in the nonprofit/cultural sector; entrepreneurial orientation and excellent financial management skills; knowledge of effective display and promotional techniques; and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with QB Point of Sale and DonorPerfect and a familiarity with Bristol and the surrounding communities is preferred. Compensation includes base salary with opportunity for performance-based bonuses. Position may be extended based upon performance and additional opportunity.
