The Director of Sales and Marketing for E-commerce is responsible the development and implementation of PC Connection's overall web strategy that will ultimately deliver profitable sales growth of the company's various web sites. This includes the strategic direction of our web platform and roadmap, site management, design, usability and features, third party relationships, project management, traffic growth and conversion, SEM/SEO management, social media, content management and the overall growth of customer web customers and business extranet users. Responsibilities include: Recruit and develop a highly skilled, high performing team of web professionals to successfully fulfill the requirements of the various functions within the web team. Drive unassisted web sales and margin growth through a mix of brand awareness, assortment, site features, product promotions and a clearly defined value proposition. Continuously improve our web sites, technically and creatively, in support of customer usability requirements, state of the art web techniques, the competitive landscape and emerging technologies. Working collaboratively with the IS/IT team, determine buy vs. build strategies for all web site requirements, functionality upgrades and platform requirements. Gather requirements and develop detailed RFP's for all external web development solicitation and manage the identification and selection of supplier candidates to receive the RFP's; select the best source and negotiate associated contracts. Provide detailed project management capabilities to efficiently define, prioritize, schedule and manage the delivery of site upgrades across all the web properties. Implement integrated marketing programs that build brand and drive traffic including SEM, affiliate marketing, mobility, promotions, campaigns, email, etc. and coordinate these activities with offline assets to leverage visibility in all available vehicles. Implement ongoing improvements to search engine optimization and stay informed of state of the art SEO techniques.
