Description: Function: Oversee and be responsible for the production of revenue and supervision of the Sales force within a specific region / territory with the main objective of successfully selling Information Builders software products.Responsibilities: Manage the sales effort for the region whose main goal is to exceed the regional quota. Manage a large and diverse geography and implement policies and procedures that will maximize sales coverage while optimizing cost. Protect the existing revenue base with an objective of zero cancellations To develop and administer a regional sales plan that will insure customer satisfaction, assigned quota attainment, good reference accounts, and a highly skilled and motivated staff. Strategize with Senior Managers on how to position company products. Develop appropriate and reasonable pricing proposals and help Branch Managers and Sales Reps close deals Able to forecast and communicate intricate details to Senior Corporate Management on a timely basis. Traveling to the various branches assigned within your region with the intention of assisting and supervising the local branch manager participating in business roundups, etc. is required. Be available to assist the local branch by attending meetings with senior management decision makers of IB established customers and prospective customers. Stay on top of business opportunities and evaluate staff performance, and help staff meet their career goals. Interview and hire new Branch Managers and Sales Reps for your region. Operation of the region on a profitable basis to include cost control and budgets consistent with good business judgment EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field, or equivalent education or experience. Ten years or more of proven professional sales and sales management experience in related industry, including a minimum of five years managing first level sales managers. Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines. Must possess strong presentation skills and have ability to convey business plans and objectives in a clear and confident manner to the highest level of senior management of both Information Builders and customers or potential customers. Must have the experience and skills required to handle diverse personalities within a demanding role and make the hard decisions pertaining to personnel issues.
