Description: Van-Kam Freightways has an opening for an Outside Sales / Territory Manager working out of our Terminal in Surrey British Columbia, Canada with responsibility for sales in the Greater Vancouver Regional District. This position will be responsible for developing new business within a designated geographic area and, as appropriate, will become involved in other related potential business opportunities for the Company. In addition to the development of new business, this position will be responsible for liaising with and providing service to existing customers.
The successful candidate will be one of Van-Kams corporate representatives in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada. Applicants must be legal citizens of Canada and living in the lower mainland of British Columbia. This individual will project a confident and professional image for Van-Kam, have previous sales experience in transportation industry (truck transportion), a demonstratable ability to grow the business and to seek creative solutions to transportation issues.
The successful applicant must be self motivated and have above average organizational, customer service and negotiation skills. You will have strong computer skills allowing you to track all sales activities on a day to day basis. In addition, an excellent command of the English language (oral and written), a team player, self disciplined, goal oriented, presentation skills and the ability to work independently are requirements of this position.
