Description: Essential Job Functions
Will be responsible for the planning, directing and day-to-day management of a field-based sales team. Achieve monthly team revenue quota in data, phone and video sales. Oversee team personnel activities concerning hiring, training / development and sales performance evaluation. Translate approved sales priorities into sales plans and programs for the account executive team. Prepare regular sales activities reporting for presentation to senior management. Insures consistency and accuracy by all team members of sales databases that are necessary to report sales activity and customer information. Enforce all department and company policies and practices to insure sales process integrity. Coordinate work flows between supporting teams and departments.
Work in conjunction with business services support personnel, including sales support and marketing personnel. Conduct weekly team meetings to review sales team performance to defined goals. Serve as a company PR liaison at industry, community and vertical market events. Attend all sales meetings and training sessions as required by management.
Job Requirements / Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's degree; or equivalent training, education and experience. Requires three or more years of sales management experience, preferably managing teams selling data, voice and / or video solutions in the commercial telecommunications market. Position requires a proven track record of success in managing a quota based sales team. Must be an effective communicator that can direct and motivate a sales organization to successful goal attainment. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required and strong analytical and negotiation skills.
